Raw Materials Suppliers

Trex is one of the largest consumers of both polyethylene and wood materials in North America. Our two manufacturing sites consume over 300,000 tons of each material every year. Most of the polyethylene Trex consumes is film grade, consisting of items such as plastic bags, stretch film and agricultural film to name a few. Wood makes up about one half of all raw materials we consume — and we buy it by the truckload.

Trex^® offers a viable and sustained outlet for these reusable materials, while complying with all federal standards. In addition to the environmental benefits to recycling these materials, Trex also offers substantial financial incentives, including overall savings realized from recycling efforts instead of placing these materials in a landfill.
